This is motorsport so everything is expensive!!!

Transponders should only cost £30 or so for what they are. Why are Kart ones less when i think they are rated to a speed much higher than the majority of club racing cars. Just ask the obseber to log who repeatedly closses the circuit boundary and penalise them. Works at Lydden.

Ah, but the observer usually does that. It is quite often the organising club that can't be bothered. How can this be changed so that every club hands out the same penalty?
That is the reason why this thread got started.

Take the example from Spa: Blanchimont corner, famous for getting a big advantage when 4 wheeling over, one club gives out harsh penalties, the next organiser couldn't care less. How do they expect the drivers to stay off the run off?

Take the Porsche Supercup last weekend. Drive-through penalties a-plenty due to corner cutting where once kitty's did their business.

Then que-BTCC. (not at Spa - but everywhere else)...... where the blue book has exceptions to allow them to drive like Jim Kerr's brother (Wayne) and get away with it in the name of "entertainment".

At least they don't have Audi throwing their teddies out of the pram.....

Rob.
