Team Kiwi Racing plan 2010 comeback Team Kiwi Racing (TKR) say they plan a return to the Australian V8 motor-racing and will field two cars in the developmental series next year. TKR principal David John said: "Everyone involved with TKR has had plenty of time to sit back over the last few months and put in place a very solid race package and crew to compete in the Australian V8 Supercar development series in 2010 with the objective of returning to the full V8 Supercar Championship in the future. Current News:
29th Jan 2010 TKR MID SEASON REPORT. Team Kiwi Racing set out in 2010 to win our fourth New Zealand Championship title in the 6 years TKR has competed in the local motorsport Championship Series. The decision to go with the BMW Mini's was an easy one with ex TKR Team Manager Martin Collins running the series and therefore knowing politics would be kept out of the class along with the significant media exposure TV3 provide the BMW Mini series, the simple iconic nature of the MINI and knowing the BMW Mini Challenge acrs are true race cars that would show us if a driver has what it takes to go to the next level of competition with TKR in the future. . In addition TKR had already one the NZ 2.0ltr Touring car Championship, NZV8 Touring Car Championship, LK 500 endurance race and been runner up in both the NZ 2.0ltr Touring Car Championship and NZV8 Touring Car Championship. Currently TKR have achieved the following in 2010 in the BMW Mini Challenge Championship. Round 1 - Pukekohe Park Raceway. Qualifying - TKR on front row of the grid. Race 1 - TKR First Race 2 - TKR First Race 3 - TKR Second Overall for the weekend - TKR First and Third Round 2 - Ruapuna Park Raceway. Qualifying - TKR on front row of the grid. Race 1 - TKR First and Second Race 2 - TKR First and Second Race 3 - TKR DNF for Hamilton and computer issues for Bailey for fifth. Overall for the weekend - TKR First Round 3 - Teretonga Park - Invercargill Qualifying - TKR on front row of the grid Race 1 - TKR First Race 2 - TKR First Race 3 - TKR First and Second Overall for the weekend - TKR First with Hamilton winning all three races. Round 4 - Timaru Park International Raceway. Qualifying - TKR ALL Black Front row. Race 1 - TKR First Race 2 - TKR Second Race 3 - TKR First Overall for the weekend - TKR First. CURRENT CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS: TKR - First Bailey TKR - Second Hamilton. IN SUMMARY: * TKR has qualified on the front row of the grid for every round of the Championship so far this season being four rounds out of 6. * Out of 12 races so far this season TKR has won 9 races had 1 DNF and 2 seconds. * TKR are currently sitting in 1st and 2nd position in the Championship with 2 rounds to go. Print, TV, magazine coverage has all been steady along with numerous static display events throughout New Zealand. TKR now focus on the preparation of the two All Black Mini's as we get ready for the business end of the season where we all need to work together as a team and ensure we do not let this opportunity slip. The final two rounds of the championship are as follows: Manfield Autocourse: 12-14 February 2010. Taupo: 19-21 March 2010. |

Verbascious slush...no one writes this pete, its got to be a mutant virus within a computer somewhere.A babelfish bug perhaps... Considering, it has been stated by team management, in the past, the team has suffered with errant computers... Its alleged,files lost,computers stolen, unauthorised use... pete60, I got my pussy to read the TKR most wonderous web site,she took a look and below is what my cat saw... TKR meow focus...the simple iconic nature of the Mini and knowing the BMW Mini Challenge acrs...'green acres'... we need to work and ensure we do not let this opportunity slip...'new marks'. ...We all need to work together as a team...'tkr management that is'. ... significant media exposure may be what it takes to go to the next level...I couldn't agree more. IN SUMMARY... I recon NZ Motor Racing needs a break, soo many $$$$ from so many sources, and now its minis...mums ,dads and their kids talents, as usual. Personally, I'd be delighted to see the TEAM... go to the next level. BTW,anyone seen two Awl Blek supercars giving "rides of your life" anywhere yet? Let me quess...NO. And did the rising stars get their Supercar tests for development series drives in Oz in late January,what? NO AGAIN. I'd hazard, if they had, it would have been in the tkr meews. ITM... young Bailey and Hamilton are doing a GREAT JOB, real ,as have all the other guys the TEAM has "sponsored" TTFN...

Heard lately,
DJ is quoted as saying that the teams last Falcon race car is heading over from Oz to be available for this years Hamilton Race, after which it will reportedly be set aside for use as a Hot Laps Taxi. There are rides available in several other cars advertised on his wonderous site... Have a look...planing to run three ex Supercars for rides? To be announced shortly? **** me, seems like the bigger the hole, the louder the noises comming out. Ah those Hot Lap Dollars...easy money... What can ye do? You can...Pay and wait...It usually works like this.... You will hear, noise...Just bear with us on this...the team is going through a tough patch at the moment,we will have the car/cars running ASAP....next week, next month, next year...coming to clients since 07... We remember the oratory, same noise, same sincerity...same result... NOTHING! Maybe we've missed something, maybe Big D has found enough to square away the Scott family interests and has enough left over to re equip the car with Eng/Trans etc, AND...ship it to NZ...And run it. WTF I'll believe it when I see it...with my own eye!

but...true...Six Hot Lap dates on the wondersite past, gone...on the current page that is. Anyhow...You head off to Puke on the day you've been told... for the "ride of your life"... BUT... you find the track TKR free, What do ya do? You call Big D, and what does he tell you?... Aah...It wasn't today...I didn't say that...We're busy...Real busy... With everything...being successful and all..."haven't you been watching the teams success in the Mini Series?" So you "spit the dummy"... Now... your "constant harasment" finds you hearing a different tone... YOU... don't seem to "understand the intricacies" of the high presure world of "motorsport management"...DO YOU! In fact you may well come under the impresion that "YOU" are becoming a "PEST"... One may even gain the impresion he/she should feel a little "guilt" for bothering the great pretender...at this most hectic/glorious time. Yet again IMO, the Awl Blek team have succeded in..."confirming their intentions"...taken the money and run. Should you tire of pursuing the Big D...thats fine by him, no doubt. The "opportunity" for you to parted from your cash... $$$ cheerfully acepted... If your ride has been "delayed by circumstances beyond the teams control"... join the queue... Apparently the longer ago you paid the less "hospitable" the reception to your "inquiry" Bearing in mind that "they who have paid" since back in 2007 have yet to enjoy the thrill of it all, they all share in the pleasure/displeasure,of repeatedly hearing "the voice"...those noises...come back later...we will be in touch...I'm sorting it as we speak...we have even greater opportunities planned...we just need a bit of time... How would you feel?... IMPRESS RELEASE... Is there a car? Where could this latest 021 entry come from? The Scott Family Interests? I doubt its FPR. Could it be the BF'ed AU that was visible for a very short time at Hamilton? SBR?...Have Ross and Jimmy got a set of wheels to check out the very real talents of young Matt?  Lets face it young Cheese worked out very well at SBR, and the grand patron of young kiwi rising stars needed a car badly to maintain the illusion at that time too.
