crankshaft sensor
Hi
Does a ford sensor (89BF 6C315 AC) operate in a metal supporting mount? To be more precise it would be in a metal tube and sensors head would protrude out from it 10 mm towards trigger wheel. What is correct air cap for this sensor? TIA |

I don't know what sensor this is (but from the part number first made in 1989) but 0.7-2mm works with most sensors, so I would set it at 1mm. By "metal mount" do you mean steel? Should be okay regardless.

yes it will work in a steel mount, in lots of oe applications its mounted directly in a cast iron block
