It was a bit of a turn up. Besnard qualified nowhere, and was on top until Ambrose came out second last. I talked to him after qualifying and he was very confident of a good showing in the shoot out.

Skaify had a shocker- was fastest after half a lap, but promptly spun 100m later, at least it didn't appear that he flat spotted the tyres that he has to start on...

I was watching the shootbout from turn 1 and it was obvious that Skaife was going all out out, it was pole or nothing for him. My mate, who is a huge Ford fan, said, "Wow watch this, this'll be pole for sure!"

These Ford fans aren't too bright you see.
