The wheels do look bigger back in the day, but maybe that's just in terms of perspective

I am pretty sure that would not even get compliance in Australia with sharp edges protruding like that.
Non compliance means you cant register it for road use, and that in turn means you dont get the legal minimum third party insurance cover required. Presume that would not even allow some of the loopholes that restricted use club permits seem to offer. Last edited by E.B; 10 Sep 2024 at 07:19. |

May be the reason why the later models had the front bumper in one piece, covering the whole front area? This model remains my favourite, we had few here all in manual gerabox form. I think many went back to the US because the market is more active there for this kind of stuff.

Now the front bumper has gone far away its up to the spring shackles to do the job! As to to rust it seems this one never had black plates on it… Japcars do rust and some faster than others! In my MX5 club we have some bubbles hunters…

Just a photo of an Audi SUV with what I thought were pretty naff wheels. Not o much the wheels but the colour. Copper wheels dont do it for me, certainly not such an intense copper. Gold maybe, copper, no. Would not be my choice anyway

Wrong car for them. I could maybe see them working on a lower MB, maybe Audi wagon. But SUV, nope

Low cost homologation parts. The massive rubber parts on the bumpers are cheaper to fit than a full redesign (MG B and others). Strange to see that the owner doesn't appreciate the neg camber tho.

Screw the VeeDub, it's the Landmark Diner! That was my late night diner for several years. A lot of guys in shiny suits speaking Greek at that joint. It was great!

And yes, closest thing to a real diner in the entire South. Almost feels like the old train car ones in the road in Jersey, complete with odd Greek dishes because Mom makes it great |

I've never used the word "naff" but I feel it was created for instances like this. As my people would say, that looks like ****.

Naff is a good word.
Not everything needs to be extremes. |
