Customised front page!

I love the new front page and its ability for me to customise it - nice addition! I never used to use the front page at all as the layout annoyed me but now I can change it to suit my mood! Any possibility of adding newoving existing 'feeds'? The 'on this day' feature is my favourite, the 'site map' very useful and the Motors TV listing could be good (avign Sky fitted on Saturday) but have little interest in the huge lists of 'news'. Now, if I could customise the news to be Nascar feeds or whatever or maybe to add a random image from the gallery that'd be great! Good work on setting that all up

All is good but I have an issue with the collapsable news feeds. When I collapse a box it 'sticks' fine unless it happens to be a news feed from one of the external sites. I want to keep the crash.net feed expanded but I want to collapse the other three... doesn't work. Every time I reopen the home page all four news feeds are expanded.

I think the collapse is held in a cookie, I'll take a look to see if there's any reason for it. Probably me making a mistake somewhere in the modules.

Yay, it wasn't me, it was a bug in someone elses code. I've fixed it now.

Now - any chance of adding a block with a different random photo from the gallery each time the page loads? Just like the spot the logo but from the gallery of all those lovely photos from the POTY competitions

I've added a block that shows a random photo from the 2008 competition, I've also added positions at the top and the bottom of the page which go across the whole width of the page.

That sounds very cool! Only problem is - I can't see it

I wonder actually - maybe there is some way to let the user select a gallery of their choosing to display a random photo from? Default would be the logo gallery but maybe I might prefer an image from the 2008 POTY competition? When I get bored maybe I'd prefer a random photo from another gallery. Maybe those who actually have their own gallery might like to rotate their OWN photos..?

If you edit your layout and move something around then you'll get the new block added on the page somewhere in the middle.

Not really feasible as I've a few other things I need to work on first and to have something like that really needs a useable "user interface" for selecting galleries rather then just me hard coding in the relevant gallery number.
