Idiot. I was trying to be topical but was rushing to go out and should have said:

My trusty little weather station on my front window sill told me it was 60.2 degrees at lunchtime. It's in the shade now so has plummeted to 40 degrees.

I went to the supermarket in a nearby town this afternoon, where according to my car it was 44 degrees. By the time I got home & parked (in the shade) that had dropped to 36 degrees.

No doubt all the eco loons will be getting excited & squawking about it being the warmest day ever & we are all doomed... We are not of course.

Thought it must just be me , but a couple of internet places I tried to go onto have been showing the dreaded 404 .
Then I saw that there had been another Microsoft problem , perhaps not as bad as the CROWDSTRIKE one recently . Now seems to be working again . Has anyone else noticed any problems with their internet

In the UK we have the MET OFFICE , which for some time has been taken over by the Global Warming scammers .
A study shows that 80% of its weather stations / temp gauges do not meet MWO standards for accurate readings . And there are putting up more in unsuitable places so that they can keep up the " Warmest Ever " lies .
A year or so ago they had a "Hottest Ever " one from a gauge beside a runway on an RAF airfield when fighter jets were taking off .
So we can expect a constant ongoing load of lies .

Every time you mention the OG's I think you are talking about my old school - the Old Greshamians.

Did you see Macron's very intimate moment with one of his minister's after the opening horror show? Poor Attal didn't know which way to look!

Personally I reckon that The Virus and all computer related problems are the Chinese finding out how they can fight WW3 without going down the old-fashioned shoot 'em up Putin route.

Cue 2030 when we have a really virulent health virus backed up by Chinese sleepers at Microsoft /Crowdstrike/AWS wrecking the world's computer infrastructure at the same time. Also all electric cars will shut down blocking the main routes. China sells the antidote to the health virus and will unlock the cars/computers but at what cost?

PS I also have a tin foil hat and believe the world is flat

Worse than that! He got a full-on assault from the sports minister - the Spanish football guy would have been very proud of it.

Brigitte was not amused but Sarkozy was!!

If my memory serves, this company has several contracts here, including army. They were found to be cheaper than others. French Air Farce too?

My thoughts exactly! The photo is on The Telegraph website but apparently came from somewhere called Madame Figaro, who called it a "curious kiss".

Probably had a nasty bite-mark on his neck afterwards!

Everyone in the picture is laughing apart from Brigitte & Attal...

We had problems yesterday with our (cloud based) workshop management software, this is part of the explanation we had from the providers:
"We want to inform you about a global issue currently affecting Microsoft Azure, which is impacting various services, including those accessed through Azure Front Door—Microsoft's global content delivery network. This outage is affecting a range of services provided by businesses worldwide."

Ah, Azure is a regular point of failure, sometimes only in very limited areas, sometimes rather globally.

Still, at least it's comforting to know that it mostly only affects services accessed through the Front Door.

Personally, I am disinclined to engage with any form of services through the back door.
