I hope to own a Scooby some day but I must admit their owner's don't have a greatest reputation in the world. But they don't spin leaving the cars and coffee like a Mustang because AWD. |

I’ve had quite a few Mercs (from when I worked for them). Including an S-Class, but it was a much later gen. Loved it. In that segment they just win. Quote:

I crashed a Scooby hauling ass down a gravel driveway and blew the head gasket on another doing donuts in the snow. Good times.

That's the problem, so I've resigned myself to "rescuing" one, turning it back to stock with exception of some period correct mods; intake/exhaust, a Cobb tuning port, and maybe some coilovers. A blob eye STi in particular. The Fields have owned a few Subarus and they have so much personality, I want one.

I think we call the Previa the Tarago in these parts. Not sure if AusPost used them though.... they use Mercedes Sprinters (some electric) and Vitos or Renault vans.
Your everyday postie gets an electric trike now. Problem is the NIMBY's dont like them because the trikes are allowed to use pavements and a number of trees had to be removed to allow them access! Resident Jules Thomson-Martin said Australia Post’s trikes were more like tuk-tuks than bikes and did not belong on footpaths. Quote:

Colin McRae era Imprezas are now easy to bring into the country. Being over 25 years old has opened up the pool a bit. But anything half decent will still be a lot. This one came over before it was 25 and a cool 100k! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-subaru-22b-3/ It’ll have to be a rescuer mission. Mid naughties example: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...za-wrx-sti-89/ I guess that price will grow quickly in the next day. I’d have to educate myself if I was considering one of these. Not sure I know enough about all the variants and spec’s. Quote:

The minivan is almost dead now, which is a shame. Yes, it’s not something that makes us go weak at the knees, but it does its job better than anything else. If you’ve done the whole big family thing, then what else? Especially if you can also use it as a van occasionally. The three row SUVs aren’t as good. I know people who are hanging on to older ones and will miss it when they have to change. The last ones are still making good money due to the demand, but overall the market isn’t really big enough to justify it. The market is wrong. Killed by product marketing because it wasn’t sexy enough for them. In the UK after the Grand Voyager was lost it fell down to the basically just the Ford Galaxy (which wasn’t great) and the VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra. The Seat Alhambra was always well spec’d. Good car, did what it was designed to do well. And there is something in that. |

Panel fit!
What is the black thing on the side in front of the rear wheel? Engine air intake? |

Not too many around these days, but you can't blame that in build quality. They are all obviously being stowed away by collectors waiting for the market to turn.
