HD Production is still horrendously expensive, it will be some time before all major sport is in HD. There are many in the industry, and I'm one of them, that feel HD is a massive rip off and has only been introduced into Australia to protect the existing media proprietors from competition from new players.
Had we had stuck to SD there would have been room on the spectrum for dozens of new niche stations. |

I thought 7 and VESA have already stated that none of the races will be in HD for 2008 but they are looking at 2009.

Bathurst I would have thought would have been the only possibility for a HD telecast anyway.
