Nope....they don't have bargeboards....although....wait a minute till I check the pic of Montoya in long beach last year....yup.....no bargeboards.
I don't know for sure by my guess would be that regulations don't allow them. CART has very strict rules when it comes to chasis design and therefore try and keeping prices down. They, for instance, don't allow the use of high noses either. Although....taking a closer look at the picture...using bargeboards could present somewhat of an aerodynamic problem beause if you take a closer look into a Champ Car you'll notice that the air intakes for the radiator are not near the floor but a little bit up. That could be a cause too. |
