NKT - I am intrigued. What is the huge attraction of Angolan racing tracks? I still have occassional contact with some of my old portuguese friends in Africa who could possibly be a source of info - but it would be a slow process!

Right! I would have though that there are a lot of your countrymen who left Angola in the 70's and 80's who could help you.

NKT,

well I've tried! with some difficulty I tracked down one of my old portuguese african racing friends from the sixties - he couldn't help as the people I knew weren't from Angola, but from the Congo / Zaire - all they knew is that the tracks were there, the races were there and so we should go there!

Not sure what else to suggest - sorry!

Angola had very good races in the past, take a look: http://sportscarportugal.com.sapo.pt/luanda_1970.htm

The HuĂ*la Circuit is still alive and I can tell you that www.sportmotores.com will try to cover one or two Angolan motorsport events in 2004 - HuĂ*la 200 Km and another one.
