Mr Miedecke's Sierra 1989-style... A troubled year for that suad, a car burnt to the ground at Lakeside, and the gearbox failed on the opening lap of Bathurst

I think so. The budget had never been a strong suit, even with the big brands on the doors.. so they had some technical failures.

Mr Miedecke still races these days, in Touring Car Masters, where he is regularly in the top 3 in that field in a car that isnt quite as strong as the others...

I love this thread and have found many valuable reference images for a current project that I'm working on so a thanks goes out to all that have contributed.

I'm currently in the process of painting all Sierra's that raced in the BTCC & ATCC series from 1987 to 1992 (143 cars)for a game called Assetto Corsa.

Didn't realise at first that this car featured the Ford RS diagonal stripes as seen on.the works rally cars of the period?

Not "Ford" stripes. Compare with livery of Kremer / Kenwood / Yoko 962s from 1987 (Racing Sportscars will demonstrate the similarities)

Apparently got punted by Dick. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fY29ChyCOa0 10 mins30sec.
The car was rebuilt into a new shell and advertised 1990 eventually going to Mobil (who Andy was driving with) and then to WA with the Brock car.
Will be awesome to see Mad Andy back out in a Sierra!

Yeah it's definitely the JH building products sticker for amscar series.
What is the logo on the right hand end.
I have a feeling it may. Be the JH Irrigation logo or may be 'Amscar series' .
Any help would be great cheers.
