Very interesting piece on the future restructuring plans for the Renault Group of brands.

Signifcant points are a reduction in car manufacturing by circa 1 million cars and a simplification/reduction of platforms and powertrains.

Still better than a bunch of modern cars that you can't change the spark plugs without removing major components or the entire engine! Progress I guess.

Change spark plugs in a modern car? All the recent ones I've had (except the diesels) had 60K miles intervals for changing plugs......Haven't changed any for over a decade

I have a strong suspicion they will look more similar to the latter, as it seems more consistent with the official artwork and test car below, I suppose Enstone are looking to leverage the Benetton-Renault Mild Seven heritage as it happens to be a similar shade of baby blue?

I suppose the lighter shade of blue will help the cars stand out from the Red Bulls too.
