I think it is about everyone enjoying him/her self in the best way possible, wherever you sleep or whatever you are doiing. This year I chose to camp just a littlebit further from the track trying to avoid the partying on the campsite. Still within walking distance from track. And, yes I sleep a few hours during the race. That is my way of enjoying LM to the Max.
Enjoy everyone, oh, and soon we will start the famous sunny weather thread.

I guess it depends how much you enjoy the racing. The dedicated ones will stay up for as long as possible. Although the earplugs come in handy if you are sleeping with any snorers

And I guess if it rains camping is off limits. Hopefully the weather will be good this time

I've just returned home from the Spa 6 Hours. Although I always stay in a gîte because I don't trust early may Spa weather enough to try camping there (and I was proven right this year) I think I now have seen it all trackside weather wise, so just bring on some weather in June. I don't care what!

With todays weather forecasts we know on site what is going to happen and are prepared for any kind of weather, but as Andrew said do NOT mention the r word over here...

Le Mans 2019 (15th/16th June) - Who Is Going?
Well Spa has some unpredictable weather, but I never remember it snowing before. Then again I had no reason to check the forecast

Dahh, I think I say it every year, you are very lucky guys! I'll be at Europe in july to visit friends and family, but I can't make it in june and be at the track.

That covers every eventuality. If it's hot, wear the hat and put the suncream on. If it's cold, put the suncream on as an insulation layer. If it rains, tip out the suncream and put the bucket over your head. If it really really rains, wear the sunhat, empty out the suncream, sit in the bucket and float along

Hope you all have a good time, whatever the weather! I’ve only been to the 24hr twice, first time around 1990 and it was ridiculously hot, second 2007 (I think) and it was perishing cold and wet. That time I went on two wheels, got soaked to the skin on the way down, then slept in my mates race trailer (that stunk of oil) on the Bugatti circuit. When I say slept, of course there was no chance.....

Since then I’ve done two Le Mans Classics and weather was mainly good both times. Camped in Houx and still never got any sleep.....

Wonderful place, wonderful atmosphere. Has to be done!
