Rough guide to what's on British TV (Live or as close as...)
Since I've ended up lurking here, will start a thread to see what I normally watch, and what to get upset about...

A1GP - On Sky Sports for the rest of the season obviously

V8 Supercars - despite the change from 10 to 7 in Australia, same as usual here - MotorsTV have pledged full delayed race coverage for all events + live Bathurst and Sandown.

WTCC - Slight change in timing of the events apparently not going to stop both races being shown live on British Eurosport

BTCC - ITV the sole channel covering the third race live only with highlights of the first two

DTM - Live coverage of all events on MotorsTV

FIA GT - Bravo/Player TV are out of the game - possibly no coverage. Heard rumours of it going back to Eurosport or possibly to Motors TV? Possible addition of GT3 to live as well if on Motors.

LMES - Presumably live on MotorsTV again, less clashes likely with BTCC removal from their calendar.

ALMS - Live on MotorsTV

Le Mans - live on MotorsTV

Formula 1 - ITV

Champcar - Presumed still live on Eurosport, highlights on MotorsTV?

Indycar - Presumed still on Sky Sports.

GP2 - Presumed live on Eurosport

If anyone's heard otherwise - let me know now so I can get my sulk over with

It's actually looking pretty good, isn't it?

Can anyone else add to the list?

To start off:

Nascar Nextel Cup - Live coverage on Setanta Ireland (don't ask!)

Nascar Busch Series - unknown - anyone??

How about rallying and bikes? Anyone?

Both Highlights - BRC the Monday after the event. WRC a round up at around 6pm on the Sunday evening.

Yes the live Eurosport coverage is basic but worth a look. The ITV coverage is now on ITV 4: with an extra ten minutes or so but with a lot more chat, unfortuantely.

Last week out of curiousity, I pressed the subtitles button on my Sky remote and got English subtitles! So now I have Marcus Gronholm being translated from Finnish to Welsh, to English.

GP2, FIA GT and (I think) British GT highlights are on ITV. NASCAR Bucsh can be watched for free on NASCAR.com, dunno about TV though.

I noticed there was some Daytona 500 highlights on FiveUS (digital FTA channel) recently during primetime. Same timeslot they used to show NHRA drag racing. Not sure if there is any plan for more of it.

GP2 highlights are on ITV, but FIA and British GT are both on Channel 4.

I think people need to stop assuming that the BTCC will be on ITV. There is no evidence to support this. For the time being let's leave it as TBA.

BTCC is confirmed as being on ITV according to the BTCC official website. They haven't confirmed timings yet though and there's every chance that they could do a deal with another broadcaster regarding showing more than one race live. Either way ITV can go bright green (well at least for one of the races).

FIA GT - Ratel is still negotiating with Bravo/Player. Haven't read anywhere they are out of the game. Even Sky sports was mentioned.

LMS - still not sure if Motors TV will show live coverage or highlights. Or any coverage at all.

BF3 & BGT - won't there be highlights on Motors TV, as usual?

Whoever shows the series this year I hope they get some good commentators and resist the urge to have advert breaks during the start or the finish of the races.

Or during each scheduled pit stop phase! (hourly)

Then again, with two hour races this year but still 2 mandatory pitstops - probably not such an issue.

If you're thinking of this page: http://www.btcc.net/html/tvtimetable.php then you'll find it's just the same page that was on there last year, updated to have this year's calendar on it.

I don't think you should read too much into it.

I'm told that there will be a new TV deal this year, which won't be announced until media day.

Has been confirmed that they will show live coverage of all 6 rounds. They will also show a magazine about Endurance racing this year.
