What are the engine rules for this year, and how have they changed from last year. i know they have to remain in the same production position (ie they can't be pushed back against the firewall for better weight distribution) but can teams/engine tuners develop the engine year on year, ie this year 275bhp, next year 280bhp?

I'm not sure what the actual rules say, but I'm pretty sure they can, and will: the first 2-litre cars in 1990 had about 260-270 bhp,if memory serves- by the end of Super Touring, 300-310bhp was pretty common

Thats not really the question i was asking, (actually Honda's specs for the 2000 car was 325BHP) The question i was asking was are the teams/engine builders allowed to develop the engine year on year?
Or will they stay the same eg 270BHP, as i know standard parts apply to the gearbox/brakes etc, but are the engines allowed to be imporved? |

Sorry, I think we were at crossed purposes there...
I'm fairly sure that engine development is allowed- even if it wasn't, it would be pretty difficult to stop them actually doing it..... |
