Giovanardi has been the standby man for the last two similar instances, unless I have double vision and it was only last year.

In my defence, if I'm wrong, I have just ate a triple decker marmite sandwich.

Probably there to make the car look good - which it did - the project was ostensibly underwritten by Neate.

Yes that sounds pretty wrong, the sandwich that is.

With the constructors titles still open I am sure they will want a 2 car lineup.

A shame, I would have quite liked to have seen Menu back in a BTCC car again.

I always enjoy seeing guest drivers - but it would reduce the title fight to Shedden vs. Jordan and of the three potential victors, I would rather see Matt Neal take the championship again, his driving has been less confrontational this season and he complains less than Flash.

To be fair, Matt's got a championship to try to win. As awesome as it would be to see Menu return, Neal would have to be missing his hand for that to happen at this stage...

Quick question. You can get into the back of the Brands Hatch pits at any time can't you as opposed to only for the pitlane walk about?

Just in case anybody is curious, or often wonders about these things, and partly because I've been bored due to being off work after a run in with a surgeons knife, I've calculated the points based on both the current, and the old points scoring system, including fastest laps, laps led, poles etc etc

Have a look if you have nothing better to do

Old System Current System
52 Remaining 67 Remaining
1 Jordan 245 1 Jordan 378
2 Shedden 232 2 Neal 344
3 Neal 222 3 Shedden 343
4 Plato 219 4 Turkington 330
5 Turkington 205 5 Plato 329
6 Tordoff 143 6 Tordoff 250
7 Morgan 94 7 Morgan 208
8 Jackson M 88 8 Jackson M 188
9 Austin 83 9 Smith A 173
10 Smith A 72 10 Austin 154
11 Newsham 52 11 Newsham 148
12 Onslow-Cole 51 12 Smith J 132
13 Smith J 51 13 Onslow-Cole 129
14 Collard 44 14 Collard 121
15 Foster 24 15 Foster 98
16 Wrathall 16 16 Wrathall 70
17 Welch 10 17 Welch 69
18 Bratt 6 18 Goff 42
19 Goff 6 19 Bratt 32
20 Caine 3 20 Jackson O 24
21 Jackson O 1 21 Cole 11
22 Hill 0 22 Caine 8
23 Nye 0 23 Wood 8
24 Kaye 0 24 Fuller 6
25 Moffat 0 25 Griffin 6
26 Cole 0 26 Kaye 5
27 Wilmot 0 27 Nye 3
28 Fuller 0 28 Gallagher 3
29 Gallagher 0 29 Holland 3
30 Holland 0 30 Moffat 2
31 Scott 0 31 Scott 1
32 Wood 0 32 Hill 0
33 Neate 0 33 Wilmot 0
34 Bushell 0 34 Neate 0
35 Mason 0 35 Bushell 0
36 O'Neill 0 36 Mason 0
37 Griffin 0 37 O'Neill 0
38 Girling 0 38 Girling 0

Once we get to the 0's, the names appear in that order only because of their entry number, not reflecting actual championship position/points.

A few changes readily noticeable......discuss....maybe

Bit unclear now but it seems it may have been taking avoiding action from a rejoining Wrathall and/or Ollie Jackson.

Car looks a mess it's ripped off the front NS I guess it'll be a no for qualifying.

And with that, I think Gow may as well take the championship trophy off to be engraved right now.

Andy Jordan has it pretty much on his mantelpiece with that crash.

Short of having him kidnapped or the car stolen by aliens, its his

you forget Shedden with only 1 point behind Neal

it would take just 1 DNF or DQ for Jordan in either race 1 and race 2 and Shedden could bang it !!

Could Dynamics still replace Neal for tomorrow or the rules prohibit that ??

I think Neal will be OK for tomorrow. He'll have had his hands off the wheel when it hit the barriers. Hopefully they can get the car in decent enough shape to be competitive so that he can make a go of it.

I don't think so. Andy been thinking about his driving this year and keeping out of trouble. He doesn't even need to finish ahead of Gordon at all tomorrow.

Cruise and collect.
