Autosport Show Get-Together?

Anyone fancy meeting up for a drink when at the Autosport Show?

I'm there on the Friday at the Watkins Lecture and then again on the Saturday.

I'm not manning the BMMC stand this year - leave that to some other poor devils!

Where? What Day? What Time(s)?

Mark

Hopefully, I'll be down visiting on the Saturday, looking at the pretty cars and seeing what I can't afford next year (or ever, to be honest).

How about wearing ten-tenths logo badges on our t-shirts?

Al.

I shall be there Friday, Watkins lecture and a mooch around.

Last year I had to go home when my feet gave out. Worse that a day on the bank.

Eric Ridler is the man for this. My guess is that he will have his team all arranged by now but you could contact him at: E.Ridler@ntlword.com.

You will probably have to find that out on the day. Our stand is sometimes not known until quite late on. Look around that bit of the show with other small clubs.

The BMMC stand is usually staffed by those members who have a good deal of experience behind them and are knowledgeable about marshalling as a whole. There are normally members from the various disciplines to answer any questions from potential members!
In the past, the stand was manned by the "Senior" members of the club who possibly gave the impression that we were some kind of Gentlemens club for the over 50's!!!
Erics efforts on the stand have made marshalling more appealing to younger people.
Ladies have and do man (Or Woman) the stand.
Last year Sue Whitlock was there and so was my wife (She was 7 months preganant and couldn't fasten her club shirt!)

I'm going on Thursday, since where I work insisted on me taking a whole week off! the swine! Still at least that gives me 3 days to recover before going back to work the following Monday.

Planning to take my camera, so pictures may be posted at a later date, or used in blackmail!

Regards,

Bald spot

p.s.

Merry Christmas & a happy new year:
