Masters of F3 back to Zandvoort

That's right, the Masters of F3 will return to the Zandvoort circuit after an abstinence of 2 years during which the event was held at the Belgian circuit of Zolder.

This year, it will be held June 13 and 14, and it will be back where the event belongs: Circuit Park Zandvoort.

Great news for the Masters, just what what it needed to re-establish itself as the top F3 event in Europe.

...but not British F3, they have free!
British F3, German F3 Cup and F3 Euroseries have no races on their calendars for this weekend!

EuroBOSS will also come back to Zandvoort for the 'RTL F3 Masters' meeting 2009!

Is this confirmed ??? Autosport.nl only said that talks were going on to have Euroboss back at Zandvoort

I am looking forward. Especially since we're also likely to see the Dutch Supercar Challenge and the Dutch GT4 during the weekend

Same weekend as Le Mans 24 hours too. I guess there was no time/ possibility to plan the event in August like it used to be...

That's actually much more serious than the clash with British GT at Knockhill!

If there is a UK FFord at Knockhill involving teams who also race in BF3 and might want to go the Masters, then I suggest they should look at re-scheduling the FFord race. There must still be time to do that.

Then again, why have a British GT meeting that clashes with Le Mans? Sounds like madness to me.

Absolutely, considering how many Brits go to Le Mans, it's very stupid to have any major meeting clashing with it! I hated when the Canadian GP clashed with it... nevermind F3!

Not great for any spectators really, I fancied attending Le Mans and F3Masters this year, especially as it will be at Zandvoort, but I will be at Knockhill spannering a Duratec!

Agreed it does seem very stupid to have a British GT meet the same weekend as Le Mans.....

ok, turns out that June 13-14 was the only day left that was completely unoccupied on all major F3 calendars, hence it was chosen.

One repercussion of this is that a lot of the Zandvoort marshalls and stewards usually would be going to Le Mans to help out there, but they can't now.
