The new ERC season is nearly upon us and it is great to see 4 of our best drivers, entering ERC rounds.

Fantastic news to see British champion Chris Evans, racing where he belongs and with some proper competition, and well done to Chris Cake and Mad Mark for joining him in France.

Will also be interesting to see how George does in Portugal, me thinks he might need a few more horses to keep up.

Good luck to all.

Lets hope sum more top British and Irish drivers travel across the water this year.

I think Chris Cake was due for an ERC shakedown run in Holland this weekend. If you're on here Chris, how did it go?

The Rx-cup is for group A homologated machinery, and the elise is GT.

Saw some pics of Cake racing in Holland, there were a few ETC guys there aswell, Kuypers was in his new Focus, Isachsen was there and anotehr quick Norwegian.

There was a testdrive in Sweden Strangnas last week with top ERC drivers present. Toveksracing with two Skoda Fabia, the champion car and a second totally new build Skoda Fabia 4x4. Pictures can you find here

The champion car of 2006 was tested by Camilla Antonsen www.camillaantonsen.no but she has also a 2WD skoda to drive the Supernational series. Belgium driver Koen Pauwels did also great jumps on the Strangnas track.

Per Eklund has gone Red again with the SAAB colour scheme,maybe this year a few more apperances in the A final,always liked Eklunds style of driving not bad for a 60 yr old

Something strange happened in this year’s Swedish shakedown at Strängnäs! Per Eklund did NOT enter 5 minutes to late at the press conference as usual, his mechanics got a whole nights sleep before the shakedown. This has never happened before!!! Per did not like the fact that he did not reach one single A-final last year. “We have worked since the last race last year with a new car and some very serious work from SAAB Trollhättan and Trollspeed with the new engine”. Team Eklund means business this year. We will drive with E 85 in this years SRC. But not in the ERC. (FIA no like yet!)

It's normally on Sky Sports, World Motorsport Programme.
Keep checking in here, as somebody normally spots when it is going to be on, and tells us all

Just had a look at the entry list for Portugal & it appears that George Tracey has withdrawn his entry....! Infact 4 drivers have withdrawn from the event, but it still has an impressive 21 drivers in the Supercar class

Yep great entry! But france nextweekend has an awesome 38 supercars entered .Cant wait Im off Friday for the weekend to watch the event second time going Excellant Circuit great Atmosphere,Counting the days!
