When his Dad was around and he spoke without thinking people said he should get rid of his Dad and get professional management. I don't think it matters who is looking after him, he will still say stupid things because it is in his nature.

He was younger then but I suppose you're right, it's in his nature as still does it.

Platinum Card was amusing, although being picky he laboured it.

He doesn't have the comic timing that Vettel has....or that anyone else has, for that matter.
Everyone knows that the most important thing about comedy is ? |

TIMING! Okay an old joke. Hey Lewis, how did the 'all British 1-2' turn out? Oh, a 4th and a DNF. I suppose if you count Di Resta it was a 4-15. I noticed that the 'new Mansell' finished second and that the 'soft drinks' company' finished 2nd and 3rd. Oh dear. How's that get clause? |

Seb's comment about Leigh flashing him was funny. I don't know how else to put this, and i don't mean offence by this, but from an English point of view, and our perception of German's, he seem's so "un-German like"

Maybe I am in the minority here? we don't get the same broadcast and interviews that you get, but I do not have problem with the things Lewis say's for the most part..

Apparently he can also quote Little Britain sketches verbatim, so be careful what you wish for. Some of their writing would not go down at all well with the average Brit, let alone our "international friends". That said, it's because they were so damn good at pricking our own nationalistic pomposity

Maybe because a nation (England in this case) shouldn't have a point of view about the nationals of other nation (Germans in this case). It's called a prejudgement (or prejudice if you prefer) and leads inevitably to misjudgements/misperceptions (to your confusion, in this case). |

So it took him till the final lap to punt somebody, Massa!
Clearly no case to answer. Hometown decision. |

Well not a 1-2, but they were possibly on for a 3-4 but for lack of fuel and a wheel nut. Not Mac's finest hour and what about those radio messages! JB must be particularly annoyed as he has lost a load of points for something outside his control (not for first time).

Indeed, McLaren do seem to have a habit of making some very bad mistakes. Last year remembering pitting Lewis again in Australia, not taking the engine cover off Jenson's car at Monaco. then we have Silverstone 2011. They messed up Hamilton's qualifying by putting him out on old tyres and then not putting enough fuel in his car(not like he was set lap after lap of fastest times, as some of the race was under wet conditions!). Then Jenson's bad pitstop and loose wheel! Some serious questions should be asked at the McLaren garage. |

I still think it shows a shocking lack of ambition merely to aim for being the first and second Brits...

I tend to agree with what Martin and DC said about the fuel issue - they were more competitive than they expected in the race itself, went quicker than planned and therefore used more fuel early on.
It was an awesome first lap or so from Hamilton, to give the lad some credit (for once ). |

I agree. LH has always received stick for his comments. Only now they're blamed on his Dad no longer being around, or his popstar girlfriend. The fact is he just isn't a very charismatic guy (unlike his team-mate), and occasionally tries to overcompensate and says daft things.
