I have just looked at E-I. sad news for AMR. I hope that the carbon chassis is not to much damaged (which seems to be solid btw).

Don't you think that the origin of Verstappen's and ortelli's accident is the same (rear brakes) ?

Ortelli's accident at Monza was a rear wing failure not brakes.

I would expect it was a driver error accident reading the comments from Jos. This is certainly not good just before Le Mans, not just for chassis but all the parts destroyed in a 300 km/h accident that will now have to reduce spares in Le Mans.

Does anyone know if they had all three cars present at the test and was it a long distance endurance test?

If it is Monza would think it would be more tyre/aero related than endurance, do not think you can run through the night at Monza due to noise regulations.

Not sure how many cars but is it usual to have all yours cars at a test? Also on the pictures on Verstappen website shows only 1 Aston and Spyker.

Direct Injection is allowed in all 4 classes so why wouldn't they be allowed?

Because it is a production based engine there are certain things that they are not allowed to modify or change.

There is no DI in the road version of the 911, yet there is or there will be very soon a DI engine in the RSR.

When I spoke with someone from Porsche at Long Beach on this he said they likely wouldn't develop a DI system for the RSR saying that the cost to develop was far greater than the reward would be on that particular application.
