Kane finally gets past Buncombe. 20 minutes left to chase down Estre and take the victory and championship.
Edit - Or not. #7 Bentley ordered to relinquish the position to the #23 Nissan. |

Kane gets past properly this time, but the Von Ryan McLaren is 17 seconds ahead. Barring disaster the #58 has won the race and the #23 has won the Pro Cup.
Edit - What in smeg is Bottemanne doing? You're being lapped! |

Well Kane won't be getting past Estre on pace, so his only hope is for Buncombe to be duffed up by whoever is behind him.
Fortunately for the Bentley boys, the driver behind the Nissan is rather handy... |

Very poor driving by Bottamane. What was he thinking? I hope Vanthoor passes the GTR then Bentley and Nissan will be tied on points except Nissan will win virtue of having a win.

Good race if you ignore the race director deciding to let his 5-year old take over...
Congrats to Von Ryan for the race and RJN for the Pro Cup What a finish to Pro-am! AF Corse almost ganging up on the Jag but it drags them out for the win! Go Emil Frey! |

Shameless tactics by the AF Corse horde at the end there, fortunate that the Jag got through that.

Great to see Jaguar takes win in Pro-Am class.
Maybe one day (one day... ) Jaguar will be back in racing as factory team. |

Yep, but lots of folks had already pointed that out, and it wasn't for a win. Speaking of WRT, I don't know how the Bentley was required to give a position back when the Nissan came down on him in the middle of the corner, but the Audi could ram square into the Lamborghini and get away, fortunately, none of these things mattered in the ultimate result, so no biggie.

Great race with some bad decisions. Race control had no control over the SC and pitting procedure at all. The penalty against the Bentley could've cost them the entire championship. The gap to the lead car went from 7 seconds to 16 seconds after that mess. And all because the Nissan turned in on them.
The back markers were an absolute disgrace. Apart from the usual hilarious bad Ferrari beaching itself, the Audi and Ferrari defending at the end was ban worthy. All in all, Blancpain is an amazing series. But the officials need to get a grip on things. |

Sorry for the Off Topic, but does anyone know/have a high quality photo of the Audi photo finish at the Spa 24?
