Putting champions of the past in the same class, is really just unfair to most of them. But unfortunately we live in a world of labels and brands. You made a good description of the skills of Cranky Mika and TGF. In addition to all this, I think TGF has more sense of setting up the car than Mika, at least it seems to be like this... and in my point of view, I think both of drivers would end their careers in the teams they are now. At this level of their career, a move would be downhill elsewhere.
Let's wait for one more battle in this war. But as you said the co-stars of the show, are more interesting than the 2 ! |

Thanks, Bononi. Only the co-stars are swept away in the first few laps nowadays and that's a real pity.
About Those Two's career endings I don't know. They've matured in many ways and feel really exhausted. I always thought Mika would pull the short stroke there and retire first, but Monza proved Schumacher has reached a limit too. They've simply worn out in this non-human carroussel of no emotions. They're both off after next season I guess and I wouldn't be surprised if the one who grabbed the WDC this year would immediately announce his retirement the moment he grabs it. |
