Looking at getting into Stock Hatch Rallycross

Hi all and happy new year.

Im looking at doing stock hatch in a saxo or a 205 and would like some info regarding some bits.....

1, What licence is actually required ?? Nat B ??
2, What sort or price are the stock hatch Kuhmo tyres??
3, What sort of price are the entry fees ??

Any help or info would be so gratefully recieved. Also if anyone knows of any stock hatch's up for sale that would be great too...

Many thanks in advance

Adam

Welcome to ten-tenths Adam

As far as your questions go:

1) Non-race national B should be enough for starters (you won't be able to do any circuit racing with one of those but it's ok for rallycross assuming it's a national B event you're entering - I'm not 100% sure which events run a 'B' or 'A')

2) We have the man that supplies them on here Mel Tyres drop him a PM and he'll be able to give you the full details.

3) The winter series at Lydden is £130, open series in March is £188, last round of the British championship last year was about £190 (it was at Mondello so was in Euros).

Hope that's of some help - I'm sure some of the stock hatch drivers will be along soon to add a bit more

You couldn't run it in Procar 2000 with a 2 litre engine as it has to be a stock block, and Ford didn't make a 2000cc mk3 Fiesta.
You could however run a 1.8 zetec in XR2i spec, or the more powerful RS1800 spec

Beat up !!! not since Mallion got his sledgehammer and paint gun out.

If you are out to play i may have to get a new go-faster pin stripe down the side and a 'Turbo sticker' on the boot

i couldn't just sit on the sidelines letting you 2 battle it out, thought i'd better join in.
however on a more serious note daz wonder if you could help me?
where in the rule book does it state what gauge metal we can use to construct our front bumpers?
& after hours of searching i cant find a rallycross track that offers a figure of eight circuit

I found my door plate last night, big banger bolts, water tank, are all being fitted as we speak.

Might even kick the windows out to get that wind flowing through me hair. (something Ric doesn't worry about)

Still dont worry ric these two will proberly take each other out going into there first bend. They will see the armaco pick each other up and run them in to it. Old habits die hard !!!

eh darren that door plate wont be any help when your tortion bar is banging on the back of your helmet jacked right up full bore. All jokes aside how about the old stock hatch/ group a or stock rod challenge making a return at this years ovalfest I can start preparing for the tradition of kickin ass [might have to dust the 'ol starlet off though]

Dust it, its prob full of metal worm by now

Can't see the challenge happening again, plus it costs a fortune in n/s/f tyres and i can't be bothered to camber the 106 for a one off meeting.

Blimey, you pulled this thread from the depths,

I can confirm once you try a left hand corner you will never go back to oval racing.
