Motorsport Fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Does anyone else here like Legends Cars racing. Ive seen it and I have to say it is a series that really sticks out among other championships. The racing is so close and its immposible to choose who will win each race.

Try these sites which has a bit more information about the championship -

When I was deciding what to race this year, I nearly chose Legends.. I'm quite glad I didn't now because I would probably be seriously out of pocket, but they do interest me..

The idea of no qualifying is interesting, and certainly provides some action (mostly without incident), and you get about 3 races in a meeting, which is definately a bonus.

From the spectator's point of view, they provide great close racing, and they move about quite a lot, as the drivers try to put the power down through the treaded tyres - some impressive powerslides result.

Overall, it's a good package, the people are friendly, and the organiser is very enthusiastic

It certainly does sound exciting. I am just waiting for the next test day and I will give them a try and see how I get on. Good value after the initial outlay, £20,000 is a lot of money, but that gets you a car and seasons racing, and it does look like good racing.

What racing format do they run in your area. The legends here in Tulsa OK., near the middle of America, they race on 3/8 mile dirt oval and at the local 1.7 mile road course. both run the same rules, with sealed engines and BF Goodrich Comp T/A DOT tires (a high performance road tire). Both forms are exciting and close.

In Australia they are run by former 'wild man' Sports Sedan driver Phil Ward. I'm not sure of the total story, but he has had local bodies made to resemble cars with which we are more familiar... FJ Holdens and the like.

He seems to mostly run them on Corporate days... company guests and bigwigs our for a lark during the week thrashing round Oran Park.

They look like a lot of fun, but the package should be for wingless openwheelers, really. Nice mechanically, get rid of the baggage.

In the UK they run on the short ovals and, for the BRSCC championship, they run on circuits like Brands Hatch, Mallory, Oulton Park and Cadwell Park.
Once I have done the next test day I will try and hire a car for a race or two, and as long as I can keep the car pointing in the right direction more often than not I will try and stump up the cash for a car. Can't wait. Anyone here done any Legends racing in the UK or otherwise?
