Man just stirin' the pot. But before this thing goes sideways, yes. Looks R8ish, and would be much better than what is allowed now IMO.

Needs some sort of rear wing but yes it does look much better than the current DP's.

I gotta say that looks quite nice, it mentions that the car is aimed at trackdays, would it still be eligible to run in Grand AM ? Or is just a track day car like the Radicals and Westfields etc.

tis a good looking coupe; very pleasent to look at.
the DPs need more power and less downforce like most other forms of racing. |

Whilst some people find the DP's ugly they cannot deny the class produces close action packed racing. Something which a lot of other series lack. Changing the shape is just cosmetic and is like someone having a nose job because they are vain, it doesn't make their nose work better!

DPs are only an inch or two higher than an average group C/GTP-car.
They are however much shorter and the sidepods are much lower, which accentuates the size of the greenhouse. |

The best looking variation of the Riley them is still the Mooncraft Shiden. Had the DP's all looked somewhat like this, the general opinion of them would likely be much different.

Still DP's don't do it for me. Something to do with combined dimensions and ofcourse this silly windshield and roof. The one in the pic from this thread looks fine though...when one thinks this huge dome away... |

I think they both look better than the current formula.
