Why's it out of your league Al, you have the ideal car for it.
Car and driver combo not up to pace.

Bernie's Big Bangers of Brands... Well worth flagging all those radicals today just to get that collection out on track

What an excellent weekend with fantastic weather today. A big thanks to the CoC for letting me change cars after mine snapped a camshaft in practice plus of course to uncle Eric for the loan of his car.

Was spectating at brands for the first time this weekend. The Bernie's races were the star of the show in terms of entertainment for a lot of the fans! Loving the two mustangs, corvettes and escort really giving it some coming out of Druids! Spectators loved it! Well done and thank you for some great cars and racing!

Absolutely fantastic event.

Bernie and his sons are to be congratulated on putting this awesome group of races together, and MSV for staging the second hugely successful American Speedfest.

Sincere thanks to all of you for your help in getting parked in the paddock and for making it look so professional. It is a pleasure to work with you again and I hope to see you all again next year. I even managed to dish out a few trophies on the rostrum on Sunday, a first for me!

Lets hope MSV recognise this fact and give Bernie a good deal on tracktime next time and he will do bigger and better next year I guarantee!

All that was a great show thanks lads. Shame the Porsche didn't want to play ball Graham that was the 1st time I've had chance to see your wonderful machine, I did like the way you managed to get rid of the 40 questions man who was obviously distracting you while you were trying to sort the car. He certainly walked off with his tail between his legs lol.
Shame the Can-Am cars seemed to be fragile. The DFV powered Lola was something else.

From a spectators point of view, Bernies' Big Bangers was the highlight of the day, what a huge variety of machines.
I don't normally go to events on the Indy circuit any more but this is going to be added to my must see if MSV keep up the quality of this event.
Thanks to all the racers involved.

Thankyou Stuart and Ricki.

I honestly thought I had sorted the problem out after it Silverstone failure last month. It starts and runs perfectly in a static state but after just two laps it fails with no electrics !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get it back to the paddock and it starts, so I reckon it is the ECU.
I,ve made a rod for my own back with the 917, as everyone wants to know all about it, and I end up being tired out by the end of a day in answering their mostly well meant queries. Yesterday was so frustrating for me with the failures in qualifying and the two races , that I may have been a little short with some. I,m very sorry about that.

Bernie's V8's were the star of the show, and that includes the crash crazy NASCAR's

The most amazing performance was Peter Schleifer in Richard Dodkins March 707, a car that he had never turned a wheel in, race from last on the grid to a win.

This all came about after Peter's Lola T310 broke its gearbox and regular March driver Frank Bradley was unwell.

A cracking race indeed

Great photos! I missed everything going on outside of the paddock.

Doing a 20 minute practice and four 20 minute races on Sunday, I was checking the car over constantly in between Big Banger and HVRA V8 races. Car ran really well but being such a hot day it never cooled off and heat got the better of it in the last Bernie's V8, brakes faded as I went into Paddock bend on the opening lap amd then began to dissappear. So I took an early bath. But a fantastic weekend!
