Pau Historique Reloaded

Soooo....who went? who competed? how was it?

Can anybody add any more to this great and evocative description a friend has sent me:

The heavens opened in the last race, a Gentlemans one hour endurance, accompanied by the mother of all storms dramatic lightning and 3 inches of rain in a bucket in 35 mins. Needless to say the race was stopped after 4 laps. One of the drivers told me he thought it was time to call it a day on the third lap when 2 garden chairs floated across the track in front of him he thought it was a ghost...Alan Green

All sounds terribly exciting and somewhat scary
