Methanol Fuel: Suppliers in Ireland?
Does anyone have a source or could point me in the direction of a supplier of Methanol Fuel in Ireland (needed for a historic race car)
I have spoken to some chemical suppliers in and around Dublin and some of them may be able to get it, but only in large quantities!! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

Try contacting some of your local bikers for any Grass track/Speedway riders . They all use Methanol.

Methanol
I think 76 Race Fuels (Not sure of correct name) ship it anywhere in reasonable quantities.

It has all come to a grinding halt in that last 24 hours unfortunately. I can not get a supplier of the Methanol in the Republic of Ireland due to recently enacted Health and Safety laws. I need to have virtually bomb proof storage facilities and insurance certificates for the storage of any Methanol. These requirements are proving to be too restrictive and too costly. It is with a very heavy heart indeed that I have had to decline the car, which was a Cooper-Jap 500. Another noch for experience!! |

It looks as if your only hope is to get sponsorship from Jamesons, Paddy , Black Bush or whoever.
It's a bugger isn't it! Bureaucracy!! |
