Or maybe it suggests there are three cars HRT don't really care about.

I'm I the only one now imagining the #2 and #51 cars taken out innocently in the same multicar accident?

I mean, the mind just can't help going there can it?

I'm struggling to come to terms with my first Seton-less Bathurst and you wanna talk Longhurst?

Go back to Conrod!

Not currently in a V8 supercar. It is kind of interesting that Owen will be back in Autobahn colours since his last main game gig was at RNR with Autobahn backing. Hopefully Owen performs well at the enduro's and is able to get a full time drive that I think he deserves.

I don't want to talk Longhurst. Merely suggesting the reason is the same.

If you find that offensive, then I admire your passion.

Were there still Bathurst races before Glenn came along?

You are certainly a staunch supporter - why don't you fund him a drive?

I think Seton was more than quick enough compared to Baird to warrant another drive.

Yes, Baird might be faster without question than V8 has-beens and also-rans in a Ford Mondeo Super Tourer or an Porsche GT3 Cup S, but he has never had the ultimate pace in a V8 Supercar. WPS replaced Baird with Wilson for a reason after all - all "international aces" are not equal in a V8 Supercar, even if Baird would be a mega in the latest Ferrari or Mosler...

promax has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

well he looks pretty quick in a Walkinshaw Commodore or when he scored a race win in a SBR Falcon

just because he doesn't have the money to buy a ride in V8's.. doesn't mean he isn't good enough.

Bairdo even said himself it took him to long to adjust his driving style for supercars.

He has'nt done all of the Co Driver practices this year, but have a look at Winton Practice 1 he was P3 and Tander or Davison could not better his time in Practice 2.

Last year he did a quicker race lap than all the other drivers in HRT/HSV cars and was looking at 3rd with 20 laps to go at Bathurst so can't be to bad.

Owen and Bairdo are fast and a good bet.
Most V8 teams would place them if they had a budget.

I think promax needs to be reminded that Baird was replaced by Ambrose in the Pirtek ford... surely not suggesting broke F3 driver Ambrose magically produced a wad of $$$ to oust the former BTCC superstar!

V8 Supercars aren't representative of the low cars with heaps of grip that race in most other tin-top classes (like in Japan etc), so it's to be expected that some are best at one and some at the other.

No no just saying Ambrose was not a pay driver, but a 'punt' on a cheap young driver taken by SBR, like their choice of Besnard which didn't work out much better than Baird. Obviously, Seto also considered Ambrose but opted to take Richo and we all saw how well on that basis the team (didn't) continue as an emerging properly funded (not!) two-car squad for the following season! (Even though this is a Dumbrell thread, as there were Seton supporters about I wonder where the money from FTR merch went? To GSR or back to Ford, because they did and as FPR still do, shift a lot of hats, yet GSR didn't seem flush with cash with 2 cars or 1...)
