Me too. I am Holden through and through also. I admire how successful 888 have been. How good is a team that is relatively new in this category to not only have the amount of podiums they've had but also win 3 Bathursts in a row ? In the modern day of parity and professionalism, it is quite an achievement and I'd imagine, something that won't be bettered for a while.
Although I want a Holden to win, it was good to see Courtney trying hard against Whincup yesterday because I want to see good racing, not a walk in the park for someone that is 400m in front. Next year will probably be even better racing (especially between HRT and 888) and that's what I watch for.

Well I've not seen any other drivers/team owners comment on this since Murph spoke up so it's dead in the water.

Personally I think Murph would be an asset in a competitive car......he could definately take another Bathurst crown.

IMO it would definatly be yes, considering the team is not manufactuer supported, if a manufactuer decided to throw coin at them they would more then likely jump as most teams would.

EDIT: and here is the answer straight from the horses mouth (he really is starting to talk more like a team owner):

Wow 2nd in a championship. Just ask Russell how that felt for years......

My point was, they don't dominate, like HRT did, or like SBR then T8 have. They should!

He tried to jump in the late 90's/early 00's to SBR. Even got as far as a meeting with Ross Stone and Howard Marsden. Problem was Mr Marsden was not interested in the idea one bit.
Murph made mention of this is his book a few years ago. Always found it strange that Marsden did'nt want him, maybe it all happened when Ford were chasing Lowndes and Ambrose?

It's been a LONG time since HRT has dominated. No one seems to be 'beating them up' over that fact though.

Is it 'easier' being a Holden team - lower expectations ?

Wow, you really are slow.

HRT dominated.
Then SBR dominated.
Now T8 are Dominating.

FPR - NEVER have dominated.
