Motors TV British GT Coverage
I was just on Sky and looking at their viewing guide and noticed that Motors TV now has a 1hr slot for British GT's from Donnington Park, nothing to do with the British F3 guys. This is excellent news and certainly better than what we have had in the past, a meagre 30 minutes. This means that we will get for some races full coverage! Good to see that the British GT series is proving popular with Motors TV, im not sure what coverage the series gets exactly with Channel 4 but im expecting it to be 30 mins like it is with the British F3 series, interesting to note that Motors TV is giving a 1hr slot to both British F3 and British GT seperately where as Channel 4 appear to be still providing their usual 30 minute slot. Nice one motors tv!

Rather excellent coverage it was too.
Much better with the one hour slot. |

Yeah I agree, I got up early to watch the coverage myself and I was pretty impressed with it all. Good to see British GT's finally getting the coverage it deserves, or somewhere near what it deserves anyway, now if only Motors TV could give British GT/British F3 LIVE coverage, or even Channel 4.

not seen BGT coverage on TV since they ditched the (now-called) GT1 class at the end of 2002 - do they completely ignore the GT3's or something?

No Bob, IMO they dont completly ignore the GT3 class at all. Sure the GT2 class gets a bit more attention, but then thats to be expected as it is the lead class. Percentage wise id say the GT2 class gets around 70% of the TV coverage and the GT3 class around 30%. The coverage is pretty darn good IMO.

Oh ok - just "Les" was saying they cud spend an hour on one class - thought he meant that they only focused on GT2 now. By the way, it's Martyn, not Bob
The Bob bit is some random old AOL screen name I once had ages ago, for some reason it stuck because I'm used to it lol |
