Sorry no photo but the Hawker V6 was bought by Irish raly driver (for rallying ) and was burnt out in what is referred to as The Great Fire Of Youghal , when on an event a Garda car rear ended it , the Escort was burnt out in the inferno that followed .

TERRY SANGER IN F.5000.

Once again I have been rooting about and came up with this article about Terry and a nice picture of him in The Harrier.Makes a nice read. This was dated: March 28th ( my wedding anniversay incidentally) 1971. The event was: ROTHMANS F. 5000 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP CAR RACES at Mallory.
Nice old picture of Mike Hailwoods, Surtees TS8.

It has been said the car had a 427 in it at some stage, but no photos have surfaced. A lot of mods would have to have been done to the car to fit this engine, as when the car was fitted with a 289 it still had the factory firewall in place. Not saying it didn't happen, as up until recently, I would have never believed the car originally had a chevy small block in it!
