Hmmm, seem's like we've all sort of settled on 3 teams now, AGR, Rahal/Letterman, and Penske.

No more risk taking or long shots, eh?

Personally, I expect Panther to have a break-out weekend at Nashville...

The place is really a "handling & set-up" track, and the fact that it is an evening/night race will mean that the track and the cars will change as the race goes on....

Panther is usually pretty good at staying on top of such things, and they were fast (until they had their tech problems, ran out of gas, etc.) at Kansas.....

Also, this track is not necessarily a big horsepower track, which should negate Honda's power edge somewhat....

A few races ago, I let sqw2 put in picks a little late....

If you submit them straight-away, I have no problem with it....

The cars are so close right now, and the conditions are going to be so much different for qualifying and the race that if you want to make them I don't have a problem with it....

I'm doing this for fun with Forum Friends....

I think all four AGR cars will be strong in quals....

That's the advantage of having a 4-car team....

Usually two of them are working on Q set-ups while the other two are working on race set ups...

at least that is the way it seems each week.....

But they are always in the hunt with 3 of the 4 cars in qualifying (wheldon's car hasn't worked well on the 1.5 mile ovals, but this may be his Motegi set-up, which was a good one...)

Bryan will be up there....

But when you look at the times from the two sessions, 15 cars are withing 4 tenths of each other....anything can happen later this afternoon...

Judging from your picks and how pracice went earlier today, you are probably going to get BOTH of us, GP Racer....

You will find out how good your picks really are....they would have worked into very good points if quals follow the practice sessions...

Qualifying Results:

I want Bob Reibe to make my Qualifying Picks the rest of the year!!!

He had 16 points to lead all of us in that half of the contest...

He picked the Pole winner and was just 3-thousandths from hitting the pole speed right on the nose (which also earned him the two bonus points)...

Actual: 201.231
Bob's Pick: 201.234

He also picked 3 of the top six in actual spots and had the top Honda and Chevy qualifiers...

Points from Qualifying:

1. Bob Reibe 16 pts.
2. Tim N 11 pts.
GP Racer 11 pts.
4. Down F0rce 10 pts.
Flavinha 10 pts.
6. Refutation 8 pts.
7. Marcus 6 pts.

Now for the race:

Tim N. & Flavinha picked the winner

Flavinha had 3 of the Top Five

Four of us have Vitor Meira as the Fast Lap Driver...

Bob Reibe was closest to the actual Fast lap:

Actual: 198.084
Bob's Pick: 198.765

Tim N. had two of the correct leaders at milestones...Meira at 100 laps and Kanaan at 200 laps

Marcus had the Best Mover:

Mark Taylor -- 18th to 7th

No one had the "Fall from Grace":

Byran Herta: 3rd to 18th

GP Racer was the closest to the actual race speed:

Actual: 134.975
GP's Pick: 134.050

Here are the Total Points:

1. Tim N. 21 pts.
2. Flavinha 20 pts.
3. Bob Reibe 19 pts.
4. GP Racer 17 pts.
5. Down F0rce 14 pts.
6. Marcus 11 pts.
7. Refutation 9 pts.
