Was he classed as a finisher, as all four wheels left the circuit????

This was before flaps as thebear says, and yes he was classified as a finisher. IIRC there was a story that his finishing position was taken from video evidence because he cleared the timing range.
However, this has nothing to do with marshals, so I'm going to move it to Armchair. |

Funny clip, often shown at training days, however it's not really marshalling related, so over to armchair it goes.

Absolutely. Think of the car equivalent.
Strange commentary. First, was that a "High side" incident? He just fell off - low side. "High side", I thought, means that the tank slapper actually throws off the rider, like a bucking bronco. Then, both times the commentator refers to "bike", I hear "wife"! 'His wife exploded into a fireball' and 'his wife was toast'. I've listened several times - is it just me? John |

Yanagawa was lucky too to fall off far away enough from the bike.

Google Video
I only recently found out about Google Video. And like all new things, it can be quite addictive.
It is great, there are video clips for anything, including 'old' F1 moments. Here are a couple of favourites: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...q=ayrton+senna http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...q=ayrton+senna http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...q=ayrton+senna But there is also amature stuff like this: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...he+nurburgring And I could go on and on and on... Anybody else got any favourites? |

We are pleased to expand the remit of the Armchair Enthusiast forum to include video clips that you can download online from sites such as Google Video and YouTube.
We, the forum moderators, have discussed the best way to promote this new area and have decided that one large thread is the best way given the 'chat room' type of response that the current threads tend to generate. To this end I have merged the many threads into this one and would welcome you posting your links and comments on any videos you discover online. There are just a couple of 'rules' which we ask you adhere to in order to help us maintain the threshold of quality in this forum: 1/ No adult content, please. 2/ Positively no crash videos where anyone is killed, seriously injured or similar. 3/ No videos of a 'shocking' nature. 4/ Please clearly identify the title and nature of the clip you are posting. If possible please also state the length of the clip. We reserve the right to remove any posts which are inappropriate or which include links to inappropriate video clips. Thanks for your understanding. Last edited by Craig; 21 Jul 2006 at 14:10. |

Automobile Antics
When you have about 40 minutes to watch some action at Nurburgring:
Jeremy Clarkson's first try with a 2.7L JAGUAR Diesel S-type (9m12s). And FINISH here (9m11s). Then it's time for the LOCAL TALENT (8m39s) in a Ford Transit diesel van: And now, the fastest lap EVER , under 8 minutes in a motorcycle engined Radical.
