I'd have thought he'd be heading to sportscars - he'll get paid there, I can't see anyone in rallycross being able to match that.

Didn't he say he would like to do rallycross after his Formula 1 career? Or did he mean later on in his career?

He's retired in most of the other races this year so I assume to do so in Japan would be almost certain ...

.... or have I missed something?

I know Jenson has a lot of affection for rallycross because of his dad but has he ever said he would want to take part seriously after his F1 retirement? Is James Allen's comment a statement of fact or gossip? Link?

Either way, I could see Jenson doing one-off events perhaps...

I'm glad to see Jenson will be staying in F1 for at least one more year, even though he is unlikely to see a podium in 2016 unless things really change for the better, and I can't see that happening.

He thoroughly enjoyed his taste of rallycross at Lydden recently, driving James Harrold's Beetle and a WRC MINI (can't wait for that to be broadcast by the BBC as part of a forthcoming F1 programme) but I can't see him jumping totally into RX when there is a lucrative and successful move into Sports Cars possible. Could he do both, thogh? Hmmm!

Cheers, Steve
