I detest black alloys, reminds me of the awful black wheels the Alfa's ran in 94' and vauxhall ran in 95'

Me too. The Pugs are five spoke, which is nice. There is no apparent reason to me how they pick this colour. Maybe they got them in the January sales half price, that's what the new BTCC is all about, keeping costs down!

Agreed, puke. They don't even look good on an entirely black car...

Can I stick up for Black Wheels !

I've got one of the road going versions of the Alfa 155 that raced in the BTCC in '94. Its got black 16" alloys with bodywork in Alfa red paint and looks mega !!!!

When clean, obviously

OK. Two very poor excuses for running black wheels:

[1] The fact that the wheels you are running this year are much smaller than last year isn't immediately obvious to the punters; and
[2] Brake dust that normally would discolour your shiny silver 5-spokes will go un-noticed.

I told you they were poor!

Personally I like black. It looks functional and kinda menacing!

Nevermind the black wheels, did you see that Alfa 156 with the white wheels. I didn't bother seeing what size they were but they looked tiny.

White O.Z. Super T's or should they now rename them to Super P's would look mint on the Astra and a nice Silver finish on the Pug. I thought they where control style rims anyway?

The Alfa's are 15's, and yes they do look very tiny on an otherwise smart motor.

What is this? Max Power on-line or something. Whos cares what the wheels look like. THe racing should be good and the cars still look OK.

Well lets be honest, either red or white on the Vauxhall would be just too much!

As for the Pug, the black wheels are fine by me, its the rest of the colour scheme!

Chunder, I here what you say, I too am not a max fan but the boys at BMP are trying to get the max people in to the circuits to make revenue.

You know that the Astra definate and possibly the 406 will become iconic in the street tuning scene. With DTM and BTC bodykits floating around, and this is what I think the manufacturers want too, it sells more motors.

There arn't many who went to a circuit an seen a prodrive mondeo on sunday and went home and tried to fit 19's on there family car on monday. But with the cheaper Astra and less agresive looking BTC racers with 17's there will be plenty of road going varaints.
