Will ERC adopt the 1.6 Turbo engines?
To be honest, I hope the ERC SuperCars will stay 2.0 for a while, but if it ever needs to adopt to 1.6T engines I really hope the restrictor will be much bigger (so the restriction is less), so that output power exceeds (or compare at least) with current levels... Combined with lower weight ofcourse, like the old group B's (1,8T's)

If power outputs exceeded current levels what's the benefitit of going to a smaller capacity engine? More power from a smaller engine is going to be more expensive isn't it? (to be fair though that's a pure guess - I have no idea if smaller engine + bigger turbo works out more or less expensive than a bigger engine with a smaller turbo)

Well I guess there is no point, but the 1.6 seems to be the new engine for various classes, so it is not unthinkable that some day Rallycross will have those engines too... And I just hope it won't be 300 BHP like in the WRC!
