I have heard other stories about the Isachsen Focus. I am led to believe that the regulations about weight distribution were revised because of that car.

I think Godfrey still has a pretty good reputation for Ford and Citroen engines, sure there are still a few of his engines in use in Europe and definitely a number in the UK.

There have been some disgruntled customers though (which I daresay is true of virtually every engine builder) and his track record with Japanese engines (that I know of) isn't great.

Happy to see Project E is shaping up nicely, multiple manufacturers and some big names. Hopefully the racing will be convincing as well.

Can you still buy that stuff he was flogging, that would probably best answer the question?

Sure he posted a while ago that it was available in a chain shop? (Holland & Barrett maybe?)

If so he is already one up on Loco and Rich Energy...

Ollie is certainly doing stuff this year, not sure if he's doing the World RX though. He was part of the media day for the 5Nations BRX thingy

Baumanis no longer has the budget for a full season, so Ekstrom will drive the car at Holjes.

I can imagine that they will still have the car at every race but have a guest driver each time.

I wonder if there will be any leniency with the financial penalty for no-shows this year given the global situation?

Yeah, because it is a double-header weekend there are only three qualification rounds for each day.

Still going to be a busy weekend for the teams with three rounds, a semi and a final on each day.

Not yet. Block and Ostberg are supposed to be there in STARD cars (I have already seen videos of Block in action), Holten Motorsport and Rallytechnology were both stated to be building cars, but I haven't seen if either team have a finished car(s) and if they are there or not.

Daniel Holten is driving for Holten and has tested the car. Natalie Barratt will drive for Rallytechnology with another driver tbc for them. All 4 Ford's have been testing at Holjes this week. That makes 5 cars from 4 teams and Q1 is in 2 days...

The landmark first event will feature three cars, the entry led by American star Ken Block who is joined by British rally driver Natalie Barratt and Austrian rally champion Hermann Neubauer. All three will drive Ford Fiesta-based cars. The debut of the new Citroen C3 ERX has now been postponed until round two in Riga.

Pretty sure Holten just bought one, they tested it a few months ago in Norway. I think the Poles also bought a complete one.

Thanks. But man, what a boring race it will be. I bet Neubauer was handed a drive to fill out the grid.

I actually had the impression Holten bought a driveline package and was building the car themselves? Might just be a reporting error.

Figured this might be a good opportunity for a brave team, if you assume the Stard cars are safe and conservative you might build something radical.

It's all new anyway, so if you fail completely there are plenty of ready made excuses

Impressive run by Ekstrøm in Q2. Perfect joker strategy and the guy is still fast!

The Norwegian team bought the first STARD Ford Fiesta ERX late in 2019 and has completed a short testing programme ahead of its Projekt E debut in Sweden.
https://www.fiaworldrallycross.com/a...-in-good-shape

As for the weekend, Kristoffersson was unstoppable. He missed one start, otherwise Ekström was the only one that could beat him. Unless GRX and Hansen steps up, this season could be a one-man show once again I fear. I hope Bakkerud can find some more pace in the Megane, although it looked very promising yesterday.

As for ERX, the level below the top drivers is incredibly low. I think Bryntesson, Evjen, Dubourg brothers and Eriksson are great drivers but behind them it's really low level I think.
