alonso11 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Gran Premio di Cagliari (F3 SARDINIA MASTERS)

There is only one day left 'till the event, here is the entry list:

Marco Bonanomi ITA Coloni Motorsport
Christian Montanari RSM Coloni Motorsport
Michele Rugolo ITA Coloni Motorsport
Clivio Piccione MON Carlin Motorsport
Ernesto Viso YV Carlin Motorsport
Stefano Gattuso ITA Corbetta Competizioni
Paolo Montin ITA Ombra
Matteo Cressoni ITA W.R.C.
Andrea Belicchi ITA W.R.C.
Gregory Franchi BEL Lucidi Motors
Philipp Baron AUT Team Ghinzani
Fausto Ippoliti ITA Team Ghinzani
Alessandro Bonetti ITA Passoli Racing
Andrea Scafuro ITA Target Racing
Andrea Tiso ITA Target Racing
Thomas Roessler GER Rennsport Roessler
Robert Kubica POL Prema Powerteam
Fairuz Fauzy MAL T-Sport

For me the most surprising entry was Belicchi who I thought have no F3 experience but then I realized that outside V6 he has been racing in the F3 series of Finnland also (and actually won 8 out 8 races!)! I think he is REALLY a great driver, he was my favorite in Renault V6 this year because of his spectacular overtaking moves (he was the ONLY driver who managed to overtake on the wet Magny-Cours!) Also,it will be interesting to see how the Coloni Lola-Dome's do in an international race.Too bad that I can't see this race! (well only some highlights on Eurosports' "drive magazine" on next friday)

Oh and let's not forget about the Euro3000 race that partners the F3 event. Here is the entry list:

Matteo Grassotto ITA Traini Corse
Leonardo Orecchioni ITA Traini Corse
Peter Boss USA John Village Automotive
Joel Nelson USA John Village Automotive
Nicolas Hodenq BEL GP Racing
Fabrizio Del Monte ITA GP Racing
Sven Heidfeld GER Draco Racing
Augusto Farfus BRA Draco Racing
Norbert Siedler AUT Euronova Racing
Vitaly Petrov RUS Euronova Racing
TBA - Uboldi Corse
Giacomo Vargiu ITA Uboldi Corse
Jaime Melo BRA ADM Motorsport
Mauro Contu ITA ADM Motorsport
Jean De Pourtales FRA Scuderia FamĂ*
Nicky Pastorelli NED Scuderia FamĂ*

No surprises except that Vargiu and Petrov step up from Formula Renault 2000 to drive these fast F3000 cars and that Nissan Ws driver Norbert Siedler joins the series (it must have something to do with the fact that Superfund became the title sponsor of Euro3000)

REALLY big surprise that petrov is going to do that instead of the final round of the renault winter series here.

Suprises me to see 'so many cars' on the Euro 3000 grid. Normally there were only 10/12 cars, now 16.

Belicchi actually raced in Russian F3 and was the 2002 champion of this category.

Hey Dangerous games - you failed to spot their 'deliberate' mistake

Paolo Montin might be good, but even he's not good enough to be 1st and 2nd!

Car #10 is being driven by Robert Kubica

Well what about Maxime Hodenq? In november he made his first testruns in a Formule Renault 1600(called Monza in Italy)at Zolder, Belgium.

This year he did run the national Formula Renault 1600 Championchip.

As we could expect, interbational F3 drivers made it much better than the italian championship contender.
Lola cars, who seemed very competitive, proved their success tied to the technical poorness of dallara italian drivers.
Good for Kubica, Montin eternally second, Belicchi the only real surprise.
