Yes, JR I said Sospiri a while back, that FFFinal in '89 was one of the best races ever.
Was it the same year as the 'false start' when itstarted early due to 'poor light' and they spent the next 45 mins arguing about it. The final verdict was that since the green didn't come on, there was no penalty !!!!

JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I would run a FF 'legends' race at the Walter Hayes 2004 if enough were interested.

Email me on James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk

Dates for your diary - Walter Hayes Trophy 2004 is Saturday/Sunday November 6th and 7th.

I must add I tried to do 'my bit' by letting Neil Cunningham drive my car at Silverstone in May !

Neil will be doing more FF1600 races for me in 2004. Sadly his Morgan GT drive prevents him from racing at the WHT - but my car will be out with another 'driver'.

James, you can tell from this forum that there is a lot of interest/enthusiasm for a 'legends' type FF race. It could pull in a big crowd too? But to make it worthwhile it needs to be at a more sensible time of year (if poss).
Scottish drivers apart, I can't see us getting many of these big names to a UK in Nov.

We would also need to get Ribiero over with a 'Jesus Saves' Van Diemen, perhaps his sponsor could arrange some decent weather.

Why stop at a one off race?
A full International Championship supporting every Grand Prix would do nicely. We could even have a couple of celebrity cars for the current F1 hotshoes - if they could get under the 107% in qualifying that is.
Anyone got Bernie's number?

If 30+ cars could be assembled I would run one on the GP Circuit on July 31st 2004.

While people are excited by the thought of great FF1600 racing - don't forget you can still enter for the WHT at Silverstone on the 8-9th!

Jay,
I know you can pedal a car quickly, but I thought you were sans engines at present.
{Maybe DT could start stocking FF Pedal kits with integral Sturmey Archer}

I might not be an official co-ordinator from 2004, but a Regional Representative can still wield a clipboard.

Steve,
You can be the supplier of cakes if you want. I'm only there on Sunday anyway, as will be working at Anglesey PDC on the Saturday. I'm off cakes - in fact all food at the moment, as I'm a poorly regional rep. That's why I've been at home on TT. I've lost a stone this week.
Could I have a busty blonde Bakewell tart please?
