Traction control?! @#%)_&*^$!!!!!!!
Read it and weep:
http://www.crash.net/news_detail.asp...1&language_id= Un-@#&*ing-believable. Traction control has _no_ place in racing! Remember when cars used to drift?! Not just rally, but F1! Controlling wheelspin was once the most critical skill in racing. It was absolutely crucial in the old days of tuelene-powered F1 cars and the 1000-hp Can Am prototypes. With karts, and all the low-powered Formulas, and then all the traction control in F1 and now CART, open-wheel drivers _never_ have to worry about power-on oversteer anymore. Makes me wonder if F1 drivers will do _anything_ but ride along in another 20 years. Lee M. Janotta |
