Bathurst Historic meeting ????

A question for our Antipodean freinds.
having been to Bathurst in January, and sat glued watching the 1000km yeatserday got me thinking.
Do they, and if not, why not, ever run historics on the MOuntain. It would be a fantastic weekend of racing. and given the Wifes Australian I'd seriously consider remortgaging to get the car over if it was a prpoer mini enduro !

Bat-Hurst

Zef....the October Bat-Hurst meeting runs over four days....the first three usually include maybe three Historic races.

The problem lately has been redmist induced crashes forshortening these events OR television commitments shortening the races. Another problem seems to be poor reliability from these beautiful old vehicles...the mountain is a challenge and if the car isn't up to the challenge it soon lets the driver know!!

Coupled with very poor treatment handed out to this group its a wonder we even see them at the event!!

Having said all that....get over one October by hook or by crook...you won't regret it

be legal, whatever that is

See the Aus V8 forum re Paul Stubber.

His 69 Camaro has been the pacesetter over recent years, albeit the car has been controversial, Paul towed it over from Western Australia for the stewards to stop it racing.

PS Paul took an A9X Torana to the US earlier this year & had a bit of success.
