Egg Less Dunlops To Save Money?

A new initiative, to reduce the maximum number of Dunlop control tyres to be used at some events this year.

Story Here

The saving will be something around $20k per team...

False economy, to watch main or practicng codrivers run around on even more worn tyres in free practice?

All you Ford followers should be happy. One pit stop that FPR wont stuff up.

Less tyres, less testing.. an attempt to save money... which only arguably impacts the competitiveness of a couple of teams (eyes to Erebus, Nismo, WP, FPR, DJR...)

Cant see Dunlop thrilled with this plan.

It shows what is happening when teams are receiving no money from REC's this year.

The poor tv deal is catching up with teams already - just wait until December.

Do testing reductions actually work? Won't 888 et. al. just pour more money into simulators instead?
