2008 ETC Cup: Salzburgring Oct 17-19 2008

So, who else thinks this is possibly the worst track EVER to have an event like this on? Almost ZERO places for spectators to sit, and, the paddock is non-existant!

But its a damn fun track, and should be awesome for all of us who are watching it on TV! When STW ran there the races where ALWAYS furious, was it in 97 where Aiello and Smokin' Joe overtook eachother for the lead twice in EVERY lap? Mental stuff.
I have no doubt if there's some good teams showing up the racing on this track will be great.

www.sportmotores.es was reporting this morning that a Spanish track has chances to get it. Let to see what happens.

I just youtubed the salzburgring. It indeed looks like a fantastic track to race at, and watch on tv. Especially the kink behind the pit is great. But indeed it is also pretty primitive for spectators and teams.

I agree with PorscheFanNo1, from the STW races I have seen the circuit produces good racing, plus the place looks allot better then Estoril or Adria...

The Salzburgring is a great track.

The old DTM used to race there as well. One year they had 5 restarts before stopping the race entirely

If they are there at the start, i'm sure they won't be there after lap 1.
