Fast Lap Program big hit at Monterrey
I had no idea they were doing this but it could prove to be one of the smarter things CART has done lately.
The Fast Lap Program takes the CART pace cars and the team of female drivers to a circuit a few weeks before the event to help promote the race. We have seen how CART will take various dignitaries and VIPs for rides at the races. However, the FL program takes FANS for rides. A huge line of CART fans showed up for the event at Fundidora Park for their chance to take a hot lap with one of the female racers or one of the Mexican CART racers also present. A long autograph session took place. The racers all enjoy the camraderie and the chance to show how fast they are personally to people who do appreciate what they do. It sounds like a great idea. Not only do you get the feeling of racing around the course at high speeds, but you get to sit next to a female racer and some of them will get your heart pumping (besides the speed).

No doubt. Has anyone else seen the layout Danica Patrick has done in the US issue of FHM this month? Anytime, anywhere.

Making the big whole is a collection of doing the little things right. This is one of them, subtle but a nice touch.
