But perhaps this is what this series needs; a bunch of young, reckless kids with money mixing it up with the old Vets who couldn't find a ride in the Cup series. BTW, Brad K takes 4 tires on the final pit stop with 5 to go and comes from fourth to win the "Bubba Burger 250" at Richmond over Greg Bifle on a GWC finish. Unofficial Results 3) Jamie Mac 4) Kyle Busch 5) Carl Edwards 6) Joey Logano 7) Kevin Harvick 8) Reed Sorenson 9) Brenden Gaughan 10) Matt Kennseth What's all this complaining Cup drivers in the NW series for??? |

Well done Keselowski. Very strong all race.
I love Richmond. Great track! It reminds me of Irwindale. Would like to see that track on the NASCAR schedule. |

News time!!!!
Baker Curb losing RedMan sponsorship: Allen Bestwick reported during ESPN2's coverage of the Nationwide Series race that RedMan, the sponsor of the #27-Baker Curb Racing team, would have to be off the car by the end of June due to new federal regulations on smokeless tobacco products.(4-30-2010) Fellows in the #88 at road courses: Kelly Earnhardt said on the April 28th ampupthe88.com chat that Ron Fellows will be the driver of the #88 in all three Nationwide Series road course races this season.(4-30-2010) These 2 are from Jayski. Also, Gibbs has stood up to Kyle and will not let him run the full season. Good call. I wish for Roush to follow suit with, at least, Edwards. Harvick scaling back would make me very happy as well. I'm on the fence with Keselowski and Menard though. |

glad to hear that Ron Fellows will be in a strong equipment with a strong team at the road races.
i didn't think Harvick was planning on running the full season. it used to be they would run every now-and-again; it seemed that Mark Martin would be one the only Cup driver to run the partial season (10-12 races) and still win a handful of races in this series. i can understand Brad K, Paul M, and the like running as many races as they can, but i wish it was still the feeder series of old, not the Cup driver dominated series it has become, with Cup drivers competing for, and winning Championships. i have to admit, that with the Cup guys in this show, it sometimes makes for a better one, IMO. |

anyways, our friend Jayski has the #47 NW car listed for Watkins Glen, ONLY. I am sure some will try the double duty that weekend, but that is going to be tough. |

No more Buescher =(
Newman in the #1 at Dover: Ryan Newman will be in the #1 car at Dover as Phoenix Racing re-evaluates its schedule and the sale of the team.(Phoenix Racing) no word on the status of James Buescher.(5-11-2010) UPDATE: James Buescher and Phoenix Racing have parted ways effective immediately. Buescher, a 20-year-old Texas native, will compete full-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the remainder of the 2010 season, piloting the #31 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado. Well, Kyle Busch won at Dover but the real story, IMO, was near the end. Bowyer fails to get going on a restart and gets run over by Hamlin, causing a multi car crash. Bowyer retaliates once they go green again, putting Hamlin in the wall and earning a trip to the principal's office aka the Nascar hauler. Gotta love Buschwackers, nothing but wreckers and egos all around.

was a little uncalled for, did seem like Hamlin was trying to get around him rather than move him. perhaps the new car will alleviate some of this, less rear end lifting and give more push upon contact...
but spectacular nonetheless!!! |

Phoenix Racing goes to a part time sked. Also, the team is rumored to have a buyer:
Phoenix Racing may go to part-time schedule: Phoenix Racing posted its best NASCAR Nationwide Series finish of the season Saturday with a second-place by Ryan Newman at Dover International Speedway. But general manager Marc Reno said the team may cut its schedule back in upcoming races. Rookie James Buescher left the team earlier this week, and Newman got a call about 4 p.m. on Wednesday about driving the #1 Chevy this weekend. Newman said yes, and Reno hopes he does that some more this year. Asked if any other drivers are on the team's radar, Reno said no and then added that the team may skip upcoming standalone races at Nashville and Kentucky. "We're probably going to be a did-not-show-up at Nashville," Reno said. "I would say Nashville and Kentucky and some of those places. We'll probably run all the new-car races, maybe the road races if we can get Max (Papis) or somebody to drive or Ryan might drive. But we're going to cut it back to races (car owner) James (Finch) has fun at. Otherwise, he's going to get out of here pretty quick." Finch has said his team for sale, but Reno said Finch originally planned to sell the Nationwide Series operation to Steve Turner, owner of the Turner Motorsports Camping World Truck Series team and father to Buescher's fiancé. "It all started a few weeks ago or a month ago when he offered to sell the (Nationwide) team to Steve Turner," Reno said. "Well, then the press picked up on it and the Internet got a hold of it, and all of a sudden it turned into, 'It's wide open for a sale. (Finch is) pretty down on the (Nationwide) Series right now. He doesn't think that a lot of the things they're doing are productive for this series. But we're building five of those new cars, so if he's quitting, I don't know why we're doing that." Reno said Phoenix will be at the test of the new Nationwide Series car at Daytona next week, likely with Mike Bliss driving.(NNS Racing)(5-15-2010) |

There's a reason that I stopped talking about N'wide for now....too much 'wacking, which makes the series boring.

Well, Kligerman sure got a raw deal:
42 team shut down? hearing that the #42 Team 42 team has shut down and all employees have been let go. The team has run a partial schedule this year with Parker Kligerman.(6-10-2010)-Jayski |

ENTRY LIST So... Jacques Villeneuve Ron Fellows Pat Long Victor Gonzalez Jr Carlos Contreras Tony Ave Antonio Perez Colin Braun (regular NW series driver) one or two decent road racers listed above... and a quick glance at the list shows that Paul Menard, Brad Kesolowski and Carl Edwards will all be pulling double duty this weekend. |
