Spotted the Red Bull, Shell, Truck Assist and PremiAir B-doubles all trundling down the Hume towards Melbourne this afternoon.
When are they due in Adelaide?

I was thinking why they were headed to Melbourne. Avoiding flooded roads out west?

Flooding, failed roads, traffic congestion... and many seem to have a load of promotional events scheduled pre race.. made possible with the month gap between events, and that it is the last race of the season... so its party time

Yes indeed easy on the eye.... my issue with it is that for something revealed as a Holden tribute livery it would be nice to have seen a Holden logo or decal somewhere.... the only Holden reference I can make out is the small badge on the grille.
Not much of a tribute to a brand that has been involved in touring car racing in Australia since day 1 of the ATCC and before.

I was hoping to see maybe the Red Bull on the bonnet replaced with a Red Lion (It is after all the Official Holden Works Team

Interwoven into the white.. are a bunch of different Holden logos and brand identifiers.

Here

The other Holden teams seem to be using a "Final Roar" branding on the inside of their wings (T18) or tail (BJR)

There is still the WAU unit to come..

So... MSR put on their FB page the other day that Retravision was joining them on the bonnets of #34 and #35.. and in event videos yesterday, that branding was missing.. and no mention on the MSR website..

Is this like Tecalemit, who mysteriously evaporated from the MSR sponsor pool the weekend after their car was decalled and run in those colours?

The livery succeeds in highlighting their sponsors, while making the tribute component fade into the background.

The WAU tribute gives a least equal prominence to the sponsors and the tribute.

A couple of the people in Super2 and Super3 seemed to be looking for excuses to replace their cars too... same names appear again and again... maybe someone will do something someday

Odd strategy from the Jizz. Was still last on the timing screen when he set off on his fast lap.
Didn't hear why they sat out till the end but always a risk...

Apparently the resurfaced track was ramping up / getting faster by the lap. ie the last lap of the session was going to see the track at its fastest.

They should have spoken to Mr Percat’s engineer on the teev… the car didn’t get to the front on pace.. it was done mega strategy..
