asha should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
World Superbikes (free to air??)

Does anyone know if channel Ten Australia are going to broadcast the WorldSupers this year?

For those that dont know, Ten droped last years coverage due to its "lack of competitive racing". As things stand at the moment superbikes is going to be an amazing season!

Joke was kinda of them, as 2004 was an outstanding season of racing and the emergence of Vermulen.

I'd love to see 9 pick it up. If 10 does pick it up again, maybe they could use the Fox Sports callers, instead of Bill Woods or someone like that trying to call the races

The other thing was is they refused to mention anything of it on the sports reports - had to tune into SBS World Sports to get the results! I heard a rumour (and i'll stress it was a rumour - just some dodgy forum talk) that Fox didn't want to give over the rights for this year *shrug* but who knows.

And 9 should get it, on one condition- the return of Darryl Eastlake

Warren Smith. The best Motorcycle caller in the land. He was lost to the NRL in 2001. He did a bit of Fox SPorts Aus Open a few weeks ago.

Maybe we could start a petition of sorts and send it to Foxtel to get him back on the WSBK calls

I have to agree with these comments. I found the 2004 WSBK season great to watch and I really got into it more than MotoGP. I can only remember RPM mention WSBK once last year and that was towards the end of the season.

How good were the nights where Fox had the MotoGP and WSBK double with a 7pm kick off going through to 2 am in the morning.

Still you feel that 2005 is going to even better and I know the mrs is going to get even more ****ty with me for hogging the TV on Sunday nights.

Got an email back from Fox Sports about their coverage this year:

David Murdoch and Kevin Magee well be calling the races for Aussies again.

Magee is good but i wish Warren Smith would return from the NRL to call the action

How i long for Keith and Julian to re-unite one day

Also, the reason they call the Phillip Island races from the studio in Sydney rather than from Phillip Island (and use the oversea's commentators for the MotoGP at Phillip Island), is due to budget restraints.

That wouldn't be the same type of highlights as 10's IRL 'highlights' from last year, would it? A one-minute segment on RPM? Lucky my Uni accommodation has Austar...

No, I was hoping that it'd be more like the Foxtel Bsb highlights - 80mins of racing packed into 1hr.
Worst case, is that it'd be 30mins - at least you could see what has happened.
Bear in mind that the Champcars were a "highlights package" so if it ends up like that, or like the MotoGp then we'll all be happy!

I'm wondering which commentators they will use. Foxtel's, some Europeans or their own. Seeing as it is highlights i'd be suprised if they used their own.......

If they did use their own over highlights, aka the ASBK then it'd be very good, because it'd mean > 10min of coverage!!!

Actually, I wonder if the Diff (complete with 2 years of WSBK calling in 2000/2001) would be up for the job with Dazza? Then atleast he'd be interested (All the time hopefully), unlike the regular team that is either with it, or bored out of their brains.

But Diffey truely sucks more than a hoover...

Superbikes has had the consistant action for more than 15 years - give us (free to) air time.
